Job Shadowing in adminstraive and academic Fields
We would like to draw your attention to the Job Shadowing program in administrative and academic fields of Dept. 42 Staff Development. The objective of the programme is provide administrative and academic staff with the opportunity to exchange perspectives thus enabling a deeper undertanding for each other's work. Quality managment welcomes this opportunity to greatly improve communication between and optimization of interfaces and would like therefore to encourage staff to take advantage of this option.

In Winter Semester 2013/14, the "GeziSek-Network" the network of secretariats of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities was set up with the support of the QM Office and Staff Deveopment of the University of Cologne. The objectives of this network is better communication and a better information flow between secretariats and administration as well as the pooling of issues and common interests.
The network communicates using a mailing list where colleagues can post questions to the network. The questions can be practical and pertain to office life but also about suggestions and comments about projects and current topics.
We cordially invite colleagues to become part of the network. Every form of involement is welcome. The network is only as strong as the indiviuals in it.
